The fingerboard is of figured walnut, and the neck is ash. The fifth string tuner is one of the Five-Star varieties
that looks like a traditional friction peg but is really a planet tuner. The nut is bone. This neck has no truss
rod, so it is very chunky with a large handstop. the walnut fingerboard and peghead overlay are very thick.
